Smart Previews + Catalog Issues
Smart previews and catalogs are usually pretty straightforward, but sometimes there can be issues opening them. Listed below are common errors and fixes to help you access your edits!
What’s the problem?

This happens when Lightroom updates to a new version that is incompatible with an older version. You can access your catalog by updating to the most recent version in the Creative Cloud App.

If you see this error when opening your catalog it means the source files are not linked. Reconnect your hard drive or folder containing the RAW images.

This can happen if your editor sent over the incorrect catalog. Sometimes this happens if we have multiple versions of your catalog on our computers. Reach out to your editor and ask for the correct file.

By default, our team culls Smart Preview Catalogs with the flag label. To see what images are selected sort by ‘flag’ label.
